Our Own Story

Hi, I’m Jeff Adams. Family connections have always been extremely important to me, from growing up around extended family to raising my own seven growing children.

Fifteen years ago my mother-in-law asked me (and a couple of my children) to help design and produce a children's book about her great-grandmother's immigration to America. A year later, we worked on a similar one for her great-grandfather's journey as a western handcart pioneer.

Her goal was to capture and preserve those precious family stories, but more importantly, she wanted to share them with her children and grandchildren. Knowing my skills in graphic design and storytelling (and my kids’ artistic talents), we were thrilled to help bring those family stories to life.

Meanwhile, after having spent a career shaping visual identities, brand narratives, and marketing product benefits to try and influence customers, a layoff a couple years ago allowed me to pause and consider what my next chapter would be.

During this self-reflective evaluation, I concluded that a new venture must include these three components:

1. Bring true joy to individuals and families with a worthy pursuit.

2. Utilize my creative talents, while leveraging modern AI tools for efficiency.

3. Flexibility that allows me to be present and fulfilled in other areas of my life.

The solution became increasingly obvious. I wanted to connect generations by preserving fading family stories and giving them new life in dramatically told books that can be printed, shared, and cherished for years to come.

And with that, StoryBound was born.

What We Offer:

StoryBound connects the hearts of generations through meaningful storytelling. Through personalized creative vision, dynamic storytelling, improved visual generation tools, and print-on-demand book fulfillment, we provide a memorable but efficient finished product where you are involved in every step of the process.

And unlike traditional documentary family history books, we help bring to life significant events, life-changing moments, and other “life action stories” to be preserved and shared in an impactful format.

Our Mission:

Rooted in the Biblical promise of Malachi 4:6, our mission is to ensure that personal and family legacies live on—not just as historical names and dates, but as vibrant, heartfelt, living narratives preserved in formats the next generation will cherish.

Three children's books about historical stories are displayed on a brown textured surface. The top book is titled 'The Letter' with a navy blue cover featuring an illustration of an envelope, watch, and thread. The middle book is open, showing an illustration of a girl sewing with a spool of thread nearby. The bottom book titled 'Dangerous Journey' has a cover illustration of two children pulling a large wheel in a snowy landscape.

Original hand-illustrated story books created by me and my children in 2010.
